It kicked off in October 2002 and involved a national exhibition of stunning tea imagery and photography, which travelled the UK. We auctioned specially designed teacups from celebrities including Kylie Minogue and Stella McCartney and raised additional money through the 'tea table' book of selected photography.

With all proceeds being donated to Cancer Research UK, The Tea Council raised over £25,000 from My Cup of Tea. Kylie's tea cup alone raised £1,290 at auction!

Our thanks go to everyone who helped to make My Cup of Tea such a success.

Exhibition

Some of the most stylish names in fashion, film and music including Sadie Frost and Jodie Kidd were involved in the My Cup of Tea exhibition, creating exclusive portraits with world-renowned photographers including Rankin and Amelia Troubridge. These portraits accompanied various conceptual images in celebration of one of Britain's best-loved institutions - the great British cuppa.

My Cup of Tea captured the essence of a drink and ceremony that's integral to the British way of life. We've included a few photographs from the exhibition to tantalise your taste-buds.

Tea Cup Auction

A number of celebrities designed fantastic and unique cups for us that were auctioned for Cancer Research UK by our friends at eBay.co.uk.

The sale raised £3,583 and the cups are unique collectors' items.
